Sonic the hedgehog is the first game in the series but its not the best. There are only TWO stages i like. But its overall a good game. The control is smooth. The level design in this game can either be the best or the worst. But the music is DOPE! Now lets talk about the stages.
Green Hill Zone:
First stage in the game and the most iconic stage in the series. Well. Its up there. I like this stage. Its my favorite. The music is dope. And the level design is GOD LIKE! This stage has a great sense of speed and platforming. I really like this stage.
If only the next stage was as good...
Marble Zone:
Oh god.. This stage is full of PLATFORMING! It isn't a bad thing but there is no speed in this stage! That's the biggest problem! And the song playing in the background isn't so good. Its ok. I guess.
The hard platforming can make you mad. I can tell you act 3 is really challenging!
Spring Yard:
This is my second favorite stage in this game.
This stage has platforming and speed. Its a mix of green hill and marble zone. Green hill had platforming too but it was mostly speed. Marble zone had a lot of platforming. The music is good. And it has a good challenge. But the boss like in every stage. IS BAD! This stage is good. But its sad to say that the following stages aren't so good.
Labyrinth Zone:
My god. This stage is so bad. It is the only underwater stage in this game. There are a lot of traps and cheap deaths. Now let me tell you this: THIS STAGE IS SO GOD DAMN ANNOYING! The only good thing is the music and its not that good either. Its ok.
Star Light:
I forgot about this stage! This is just as good as spring yard zone. Its almost all speed. The level design is awesome. It sounds and looks good. God damn. Act 3 can be challenging but its mostly really easy.
Scrap brain:
I don't know what to say. Well of course i do.
This is living hell. EVERYTHING IS TRYING TO KILL YOU IN THIS STAGE! THE FLOOR,ELECTRICITY,FIRE,PLATFORMS!
AND EVEN PIGS.... AND SAWS! This stage gives a lot of challenge to you. But its the most annoying stage ever! (in this game) And what makes it even worse is the music! Only thing in this stage is how it looks. It looks good. Like all the other stages.
Final Stage (FINAL BOSS):
This boss fight is really good. Its eggman trying to squash you and kill you with electricity. It can be hard or easy. If you're good it should be no problem. But if your bad... Oh god.
When you beat eggman he will fly away from his hideout. (the final zone) but if you destroy hes eggmobile he will fall down to a pit.
Then there are the special stages! Three words.
ANNOYING,CONFUSING,BAD.
This game is good. Good music,Good stages. But it is not the best game ever. But hey. Id play it more than shadow the hedgehog.
ITS GOOD!!

Sonic The Hedgehog 2:
This game is awesome! the levels are good.
Music is awesome. Graphics are also amazing.
First game where tails was. Collecting all 7 chaos emeralds will make you super sonic. New badniks!
Emerald Hill:
My second favorite stage in the game. I love this stage. From the music to the graphics to the speed to the platforming. You cannot dislike this stage. Well you can.... But you know what i mean! And the boss is a joke. And you will notice new badniks. And those star posts. Those are checkpoints. And if you have 50 rings you can jump on top of it and get to the new special stage.
(THAT SUCKS TOO)
Chemical Plant:
My favorite stage. It has amazing music. And it has this... Pink lemon juice? I dunno. Its really fast and that's why its my favorite. The boss is a joke but the stage its self will kill you if you're not careful.
Aquatic Ruin:
I will explain this stage with a picture.
Casino Night:
A lot of speed and gambling! I love this stage. Its one of my favorites. It looks good. But the music isn't that great. But it is catchy.
This stage is kinda mix of platforming and speed.
I don't like this stage so much but its still better than scrap brain zone!
Graphics are amazing too. But.. that one robot. That lochness monster. Its a robot in lava... Shouldn't it melt? The music is good too.
Mystic Cave:
Ah. The nightmare for super sonic. Home of the pit. Now let me explain this stage.This stage is filled with traps n stuff. Everyone knows the god damn pit. And the music isn't good. It looks good though. Let me be honest. I Don't like this level.
Oil Ocean: One of the most annoying stages. And the second worst. This level has good music. But those badniks called aquis are so annoying. This level has cannons,slides and some kind of pipes?
Hmmm. What would happen if you would bring a torch in to that place....
"If this stage is so bad what could be worse!" Oh you don't even KNOW!
Metropolis:Oh god. This stage.
Its filled with platforming and
cheap shots.
The badniks are so god damn annoying. The music and the graphics are dope.
The only bad thing is the freaking SLICERS! ASTERONS! SHELLCRAKERS!
Its filled with so many cheap shots its not even funny.
Sky Chase:
Yup. Standing on a plane. Nothing else to say. Well. Music is dope. And the graphics. That's it.
Wing Fortress: This is kinda good.
Music is good.
Graphics are good.
Interesting badniks.
Yup. That's all. Well. There is a shortcut you can take at the beginning to skip half of the stage.
At the start tails plane gets shot down from the sky and at the end eggman flies to the death egg with a rocket. And yes. Of course sonic jumps to the rocket and goes to the death egg to stop eggman.
And the boss here is hard. Finally!
Death Egg:
Two boss battles. First you with Mecha Sonic. or Silver Sonic. Whatever. After you beat him you will face off with one of the most challenging bosses in sonic history.. Death EGG ROBOT!
With a couple of flaws.
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles:
Sonic 3 wasn't that great. But if you combine
sonic 3 and knuckles together. It is a great game!
First game where knuckles was in. First appearance of the master emerald and hyper sonic and super tails and super knuckles. Hidden rings that take you to the new special stages that aren't so bad. Knuckles is playable!
This game has a story to it too.
The plot is: Sonic and Tails have just defeated eggman and the death egg. And the death egg falls to angel island. ( Sonic and tails go investigate but then knuckles punches super sonic in the face.
Takes the chaos emeralds and runs away.
Knuckles thinks sonic and tails are trying to steal the master emerald because this is what eggman told him. Later when the death egg rises up to the sky again sonic and tails go to launch base zone where a giant rocket is set to launch to the death egg. Sonic goes to a little platform with the eggmobile and goes to the sky with the rocket where he faces off against eggman. When sonic wins the death egg falls once again to the volcano.
Sonic and Tails go to mushroom hill zone and from there to flying battery and from there to sandopolis. Then they fall to lava reef where the death egg landed. The death egg flashes and destroys everything. After that they find hidden palace zone an old echinda temple. Sonic and Tails find knuckles and they start a fight. After sonic defeats knuckles eggman tries to steal the master emerald. When eggman gets away with the master emerald he realizes that eggman was the bad guy. The death egg flies to space with the power of the master emerald. Knuckles helps sonic and tails to get to the death egg and there sonic and tails face off eggman for the last time. After defeating Red Eye eggman will run to kyodai eggman robo.
Sonic and Tails destroy the robot and the death egg falls to the ground once again. But eggman still has the master emerald. But if you collect all 7 chaos emeralds sonic will take the master emerald to angel island and it will start floating.
God damn. That all may not be true. But that's what i have heard the story is. Now lets get to the gameplay. There is now a save system. And sonic's sprite has been changed. Now you can do the insta shield. And you have the elemental shields too.
Angel island: This is my favorite stage.
Good music
Good graphics
Good level design
Everything is positive.
The boss is a joke too.
Hydrocity Zone:
This stage has a great sense
of speed. And there are alot of traps. And the music is pretty
dope! The boss in this level is a joke too.
Marble Garden: Music is dope.

Carnival Night:
OH GOD! THE BARRELS! The music is all static and the level is confusing and trolly. Its a MESS. Only graphics are good.
And the whole stage takes over 10 minutes so you will die no matter what. There is something much more annoying in this game than this stage. But more to that later.
Ice Cap: I don't like this level either.
It's not so bad. But i just
didn't enjoy it. Though the
music is dope and the
graphics too! Every stage in the game looks good!
Launch Base:
Its ok. Music in this level is ok too.Everything in this level is ok. That's all.
This stage has a lot of useless
gimmicks. Badniks can be annoying. Bouncy mushrooms. Knuckles...
Music: DOPE.
And those vines in the level will get you. You cant go over or under them.
Flying Battery: Oh god! Get this crap out of my eyes!
Sandopolis: I HATE THIS LEVEL I HATE THIS LEVEL. I HATE THE MUSIC
I HATE THE GHOSTS.
THIS LEVEL IS CRAP!
Lava reef Zone:Yay! A good stage! Traps,buttons,fire. It isn't the fastest level in the world but i like it. Its probably because the music was so dope. The boss can be hard. IF you don't have a fire shield. If you have a fire shield eggman will destroy himself. Eggman... IQ Of 300? More like 60.
Hidden Palace: I love this level. Fast and a showdown with knuckles! After knuckles is defeated eggman takes the master emerald and the death egg flies to the sky.
Sky sanctuary zone: Mecha sonic and new badniks. This level can be annoying and i don't like it so much. The music is good.
When sonic defeats mecha sonic he runs up a tower while the ground is grumbling under him and then jumps to the death egg.
Death Egg:A really challenging stage.
it isn't bad. It isn't the best either. This stage has two boss battles. Another death egg robot and red eye. The music... I AIN'T SAYING IT! ITS TOO GOOD!
After defeating the new death egg robot sonic will fall back to earth or mobius i don't know. And then the game ends. But if you collect 7 chaos emeralds you will face off one last time against the new death egg robot and after that he will take the master emerald back to angel island and angel island starts floating once again.
